On March 6, 2024, the SEC adopted final enhanced and standardized climate-related disclosure rules requiring disclosure of climate-related information in registration statements and annual reports, by both domestic registrants and foreign private issuers (the Final Rules). The Final Rules are comprehensive, detailed, and intended to encourage consistent, comparable, and reliable disclosure of climate-related information in companies' registration statements and annual reports. Registrants should familiarize themselves with the Final Rules to prepare for the disclosure requirements and the implementation of the governance processes, operational systems, and controls systems necessary to collect, manage and report required information.
