In a little over year, the California Privacy Rights Act will take effect, overhauling California’s current privacy law, the CCPA. In addition, new privacy laws in Virginia and Colorado take effect. Tracy will discuss the key new requirements that our clients will need to address over the next year to be prepared for the January 1, 2023 deadline. On the other side of the pond, the EU’s data protection law (GDPR) imposes strict conditions on the use of personal data. Laura will highlight the key requirements and discuss recent developments that clients should be aware of when doing business in Europe.
