Recent Developments in Delaware Law - June 2017

Please join us for an exclusive WSGR General Counsel Series program addressing the latest developments and important issues in Delaware corporate law. This program brings together recently retired Delaware Supreme Court Justice Randy Holland and former Chancellor of the Delaware Chancery Court, William Chandler. Serving on the Delaware Supreme Court for more than 30 years, Randy Holland is recognized as an expert on state constitutional law and has written more than 700 reported opinions and several thousand case dispositive orders. William Chandler was Chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery for more than 20 years, and was widely regarded as one of the country's most influential judges on issues of corporate law and governance. Moderating the discussion is Steve Bochner, one of Silicon Valley's most accomplished lawyers, and a senior partner in the firm's securities and governance practices.

The conversation will touch on a number of recent developments from the nation's leading corporate law venues in Delaware, the impacts of which are affecting technology, life sciences, and growth companies nationwide.

Topics for discussion include:
          •  Managing potential board and advisor conflicts of interest
          •  Evolving standards of director independence
          •  Board duties in the M&A and compliance contexts
          •  Settlement strategies in the new environment
